  • Can someone with past experience recommend me a good 4 or 5 star hotel in Hurghada?

Posted by admin on June 30th, 2010 and filed under 5 star hotel | 11 Comments »

The hotel should not be more than 30mins from the airport.

Hi i have just returned from the 5* Sunrise select Mamlouk Palace in Hurghada. The hotel is approx 20 mins from the airport and is directly on the beach which is private. You can use all the facilities of the hotel next door Sunrise Garden beach. It is all inclusive and the a la carte restaurants are lovely. Asian, Oriental and Italian all look out over the ocean it is beautiful. The Mexican one is inside the hotel and in my opinion was the best food ever. You can visit these as often as you like not like others where it is once per week. The drinks are all inclusive including international brands(but you have to ask for them) from 10am until 6am the following morning. The egyptian laws state they must refrain from alcohol for 4 hours per day. It is a beautiful hotel and can be booked through Thomas Cook Direct Holidays or Sunrise website if you look on holiday truths egypt forum someone has posted their website or just google Sunrise Mamlouk palace and it should come up.
Hope I have helped and good luck for where ever you decide to go

What is a good way to advertise a cute online boutique?

Posted by admin on June 30th, 2010 and filed under boutique | 3 Comments »

I am starting a cute online girly boutique. How should I advertise? Can i pass out flyers at a local mall? send to magazines? what works, what doesnt?

Since this sounds like a new business that doesn’t have much following, I would suggest you find local avenues to advertise your wears, such as college dorms, malls, hair shows, fashion shows. You can even put on a fashion show using some local students to show off your stuff and build some customers then provide them with your website to share with others and purchase from you.

    Good luck

How close is Colorado State University to major ski resorts?

Posted by admin on June 30th, 2010 and filed under resorts | 3 Comments »

I want to go to Colorado state university and i was wondering how close it is to some major ski resorts. What are the closest ski resorts? Also, if you attend or have attended CSU, how often do kids drive out to got skiing?

    I go to CSU!

It’s about 2 hours, which really isn’t bad. I go every weekend and once during the week, and there are two skiing clubs.

One club, the snowriders, has a bus, and for $15 they take you to the slopes. But they’re a bunch of drinkers and partiers, and who wants to pay 15 bucks?

the other club is the Outdoor club, it’s pretty informal and people go every weekend, there are also tons of backcountry skiers, since Rocky Mountain National Park is 30minutes away.

If you sign up for both you can send an email to all the members and ask for rides up to the mountains. Maybe you’ll end up going with me one day even!

What features must you have when staying at a five star hotel?

I want to open up a 5 star hotel chain one day, give me your input of what you want at the hotel you were staying at.

a personal butler would be a nice feature!

What hotel charges should I be aware of?

Posted by admin on June 30th, 2010 and filed under luxery | 3 Comments »

I just booked a room at a 4 star hotel for the weekend. Let’s say the price was right, and my family needed to get out for the weekend.

I understand that besdies what I have already paid, there isa $25 valet parking cost — and $15 if I park it myself.

What other charges should a traveller be aware of while staying at a luxery hotel? In other words, what should I do that it doesn’t bite me in the rear when it’s all said and done.

i booked online at the o’hare hilton in chicago. they charged me $20 for taxes or something. but i’m assuming you’ve already paid those. i’ve stayed many times in chicago and the taxes were never that high. phone calls will cost you an arm and a leg, take your cel. room service has charges added on, gratuity and service charge. there shouldnt be anything else that they will ‘get’ you for.

Paris Boutique Hotels, I need suggestions for a stay on the left bank.?

Posted by admin on June 30th, 2010 and filed under boutique hotel | 3 Comments »

I am going to Paris in July with my girlfriend and would like to stay in a boutique hotel, three or four stars on the left bank. I don’t want to spend more than €300 per night if possible. Anyone has experiences with small designer or contemporary trendy hotels in that area? Please share.
If you could also advise on a romantic restaurant, even if romantic might be suggestive somewhere you felt like you could have popped “The Question”:-)), maybe along the river or on the river? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The Hotel Left Bank St. Germain is what you are looking for. A lovely little 3 star (by the way, the French hotel star rating system only goes to three) http://www.paris-paris.com/hotel_left-bank_saint-germain.php

Right next door is the Cafe Procope which is the oldest restaurant in Paris. It has been serving food in the same location since 1686. http://www.procope.com/

Le coupe chou is also a very cozy place. http://www.lecoupechou.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=17d8ae5ee71ea0e209cf3313d06d8e58

P.S. I am sure that at least one person will suggest the Jules Verne in the Eiffel Tower. For the record, let me say I hate it but here is the website: http://www.lejulesverne-paris.com/

What is the best hotel to stay in before a cruise leaving Tampa?

Posted by admin on June 30th, 2010 and filed under hotel | 4 Comments »

My family and I will be taking a cruise in January and we are flying in a couple of days early becasue we found a cheaper flight. Now we are looking for a hotel that is close to the airport and to the port in Tampa. If any hotel have free shuttle service from the airport and to the port? Also, we don’t know if we should rent a car or could we just use the trolley to get around? Thanks for your help!

The "Doubletree Westshore" is a very nice hotel to stay at before or after your cruise. If you are bringing your personal vehicle, you can park free at the hotel. If you are flying in, they have a shuttle that will pick you up at the airport. The shuttle will also take you to the cruiseship terminal for a small extra fee.
