What affordable hotels or inns are closest to the Indira Gandhi Airport in New Delhi?

Posted by admin on July 12th, 2010 and filed under hotels | 1 Comment »

I am flying into New Delhi for one night, and then have to catch a plane elsewhere in India the next morning. What affordable hotels or inns are close to the airport? I don’t want to spend a lot of money, so it doesn’t need to be fancy at all, but I also don’t want to have to drive very far from the airport, since I have to be back bright and early the next morning.

The hotel can be close to either the international or domestic terminal, since I’m flying in international but going out domestic the next day.

    Thanks!

Hey! you can stay at some of the cheap hotels near Indira Gandhi Airport like……Swisston Inn, Royal Palace Hotel, Astoria Hotel, Royal Holidays Hotel, HOTEL MOHAN INTERNATIONAL, GOVERDHAN PALACE.

    Good Luck !

New Frontier Hotel Implosion Las Vegas

Posted by admin on July 9th, 2010 and filed under hotels | 25 Comments »

The New Frontier was imploded Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007. The 65-year-old casino, the second property built on the famous Las Vegas Strip, was the venue where Elvis Presley made his Las Vegas debut in 1956. It also housed entertainers like Siegfried and Roy, and Wayne Newton; was once owned by eccentric billionaire Howard Hughes; and featured one of the longest union strikes in U.S. history.

Which two hotels should I stay at in Las Vegas for my vacation?

Posted by admin on July 9th, 2010 and filed under hotels | 10 Comments »

I keep hearing about so many great hotels in Las Vegas I think I am going to divide my stay into two hotels rather than stay in one the entire time (planning on 3 nights in one and 3 nights in another). Which two do you think I should stay in? It’s my first time going to Vegas.

Your idea sounds creative and fun. I suspect you’re a person who will have a great time no matter where you end up. Here’s my itinerary:

    (1) Wynn: It’s won more five-star and five-diamond awards than any other hotel in America, so start your vacation here and relax for a few days. Bring comfortable shoes… most of the Strip is accessible from Wynn, but the Southernmost casinos like Mandalay Bay, Luxor, NYNY, and MGM Grand, will be too far for most people to walk.

(2a) Golden Nugget: The rooms and hotel are just average, but you’ll get free admission to their completely awesome shark tank/swimming pool. You’ll be downtown, in old Las Vegas, where each casino has at least one really good restaurant. However: Downtown is seedy, and if you wander away from Fremont Street you’ll see it immediately. If you don’t want any grit in your vacation, consider:

(2b) Monte Carlo or Planet Hollywood: Again, average hotels, but right in the middle of the action-packed south Strip. You’ll have walking access to all the casinos, bars, clubs, shows, and restaurants you could ever want.

    If you’re over 35, I recommend trip a. Under, trip b.
Don’t forget the Grand Canyon, and I personally enjoy walking in Red Rock Canyon immensely.

    Avoid:
Vdara. Their pool, between two mirror-glass high rises, will fry you like an ant under a magnifying glass.
Sahara. Their buffet isn’t so good.
Paying club promoters. Call the club directly first.

What other hotels are close to the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia?

Posted by admin on July 3rd, 2010 and filed under hotels | 1 Comment »

My boyfriend and I are going to an anime convention held at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel this September. The Renaissance Hotel is already full and we are looking for other hotels in the surrounding area. If you could please just provide a list of hotels close to the Renaissance Hotel, I would deeply appreciate it.

Anime Weekend Atlanta, yes? XD I went a few years ago (don’t think I’ll make it this year unless I actually move up there.)

My friend had made the arrangements though and we stayed at a Holiday Inn.

Try looking at the AWA website. Last time I checked, they had a list of nearby hotels (One within walking distance… as is the mall, if you care). If not, I’m sure there’s a website that will list hotels near a certain place. Though if you have a car and good directions, I woudn’t worry too much about it.

I am planning a week-long trip to New York’s Lower East Side with four friends. Does anyone know any reasonably priced hotels in the city? I would really appreciate the suggestions. Also, typically how much might one expect to pay for a six or seven night stay all inclusive?

What are hotels with large staircases in Southern California?

Posted by admin on June 29th, 2010 and filed under hotels | 2 Comments »

My best friend is looking for hotels that have large staircases. She wants to have a Phantom of the Opera themed wedding and needs a staircase to create a special scene. She plans to come down the staircase as her fiance comes up. They are going to sing a duet together. Any ideas of hotels that would be suitable?

The historic Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles has a most beautiful curved staircase.
It’s so stunning, it has been featured in countless movies. I have stayed at the hotel, and can personally testify to the staircase beauty.
    The whole lobby is gorgeous.
This hotel most likely has the best hotel staircase in Los Angeles.
